THE PERFECT FALL CAPE
One thing's for certain... this growing belly is getting harder and harder to dress. My previous two pregnancies I was getting larger in the summer and therefore my wardrobe consisted of jersey fabric maxi dresses, bandage skirts and tees. Now I'm preggo in a completely different season, mind you, I live in Chicago and therefore getting bigger as the weather gets colder has proven to be a bit more difficult.
However, I'm up for the challenge and as I've previously stated, I don't believe in wearing majority maternity wear. I mean who wants to spend all that money on six months of your life?! I say six because technically you don't start showing till month three. My goal is to only buy pieces that will transition with my body and that I can still wear post the bump.
So this is where the cape comes in!

I've always loved a good cape. I wore this gorgeous one from La Nisay and here in the Thankful for Capes post last holiday season. Then one of my favorite moto styles from the Fashion Fun and Girl Squad posts, and finally the day I played Modern-Day Superwoman in this amazing Sofia Cashmere Cape! As you can see I own a ton of capes and thank gawd for that, as I've been switching them on repeat this entire fall/winter. This cape however, is especially special... why you ask!? Thanksgiving is tomorrow and of course as cheesy as it is it's time to reflect... but also I like to reflect daily and remind myself to be grateful for my many blessings in life. It's been a very turbulent year and things seem to be getting crazier... it's times like these that we need to realize that the moment we're in is what really matters. Put down your phones, kiss your loved ones, give hugs and spread more love. The world needs it now more than ever.
