I have to be honest, I haven't shopped at Banana Republic in quite sometime. I remember shopping there once in a blue moon back in my first years of college when I was just starting out my creative path and working at the bank! Yes, a mini side note, I was a teller at ABN AMRO from High School till my first few years in College while shooting and styling on the side.

It wasn't until about last February/March that I started reading articles about Marissa Webb and her role as the new Creative Director of Banana Republic that got me intrigued about the brand again.

You may have heard of Webb's name before as she was the Head of Women's Design for J. Crew. Naturally I love J. Crew's super cool and easy aesthetic. Although I myself don't own a ton of J. Crew clothes I love their styling and REALLY love the jewelry. So once I heard about the big Webb move, I decided to give Banana another go.

I picked up quite a few pieces for the summer that I truly love. The line has that super cool "boy meets girl" type of adrogynous aesthetic and it's super easy to transition day to night pieces if you do work at an office.
