SIP, SHOP & STYLE

POST 98 - FOUR SEASONS8

So let me start of by saying this! This post will be totally different from my typical "Style Posts" but I promise those will be back shortly. With that said, if you don't care to see loads of pictures from a mini weekend staycation of Baby K, my mama (who's also sometimes my blog photographer) and I, then you can stop reading now!

Now to  more pressing issues, like what this post really is a about.  If you follow me on social media you've noticed that I have taken a bit of a back seat to posting daily content and most of the time even checking my Instagram account. In all honesty, sometimes life just gets in the way! School started, my kids are heavily involved in daily after school activities this year, not to mention homework, and work has been crazier and busier then ever! Summer and beginning of fall are typically very busy times for me as all the campaigns need to be styled and shot for the big September Issues and Fall Fashion Weeks across the globe. I also try to be heavily involved in my kids lives (obvi) and am believe or not, a PTO mom. So of course when you have so much going on this creative space of mine sometimes needs to take a back seat!

As my kids get older, and my job gets more and more demanding especially with traveling and long hours on set, I make a conscious decision to spend more quality time with my family.

Perhaps the best part of being a blogger and being in the fashion industry is the ability to involve my kids in what I do. Especially my little Baby K! Fun fact, Baby K is majorly into fashion and really is a little mini me throughout. She loves fashion events, fashion shows, watches Fashion TV and Style.com , and loves to snap layouts of her outfits before school... I'm not kidding about that!

When Four Seasons Chicago approached me about their incredible new package called Sip, Shop & Stye, I didn't even flinch to think that my best girlfriends are my baby girl and my mama! I also thought about how much we needed a vacation and quality time together with all this craziness. This weekend couldn't be more perfect to take a staycation in one of my favorite cities, my home, and one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. WIN, WIN and WIN!

POST 98 - FOUR SEASONS1

Upon arrival our room was all set up with a gorgeous view and a little bed just for baby K right by the window. She stayed up all night gazing at the sky and checking out the Hancock Building... it was beyond darling. Oh and the amazing swag bags was the major cherry on top!

Our first stop, a blow out at Mario Tricoci on Michicagan Ave, by one of my favorite stylists, Jennifer Lagron. She is super quick and super amazing! She was also one of the stylists on set for the Glossed & Found Fashion Issue I recently styled.

POST 98 - FOUR SEASONS

On to the Bloomingdales building and the NARS counter where my mama and I got beautified by some talented "Narsissists"!

POST 98 - FOUR SEASONS2

David Grant did my make-up and yes he was amazing!

We also got photographed at the  Estêe Lauder counter for Glamour Magazine. I just love this photo of the three of us.

We shopped the rest of the day and headed back to our room for yet another surprise.

POST 98 - FOUR SEASONS3

So the "Sip" part of Sip, Shop & Stye is actually a Bellini cart, but since Baby K was with us we decided to get the Ice Cream Man (woman) cart instead!

POST 98 - FOUR SEASONS4

It clearly didn't disappoint!

POST 98 - FOUR SEASONS9

On to a fabulous dinner at Allium.

POST 98 - FOUR SEASONS5

Some macaroon desserts awaited in our room and it was night night for us. My  Four Seasons friends even provided this adorable hot chocolate and cookies for Baby K.

POST 98 - FOUR SEASONS6

The next day we woke up, had coffee, enjoyed the view and went to the amazing play room on the 32nd Floor. I was so excited of how organized and kid friendly Four Seasons is. It truly was an all around amazing experience.
