DOPE ASS MOM | A Chat With Andrea Levoff
I got a second to sit down for a chat with my girl Andrea this week and discuss some of our favorite things. She is, as proclaimed, truly a "DOPE ASS MOM". Somehow in the same 24 hours we all have, she fits in being a mom of two, a comedian, a coach, influencer, and a writer. Her Instagram, @andrealevoff is full of bright colors, lots of red lipstick and and the captions that make you pee a little! Just how I like it! She is a major advocate for finding the joy and fun in motherhood.
Andrea and I are hosting a fun fall fashion event together tonight at Macy's on State Street. I hope you can make it, it will be from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. There will be a runway show filled with Fall Fashion, gift bags, bites, drinks, cryo facials and so much more!
When I found out that Andrea and I were hosting the show together, I knew I wanted to do the "RETRO ELEVATOR" shoot at Macy's Iconic Location. Andrea reminds me of that perfect Stepford Wife, maybe minus the submissive part. So.. without further adieu let's meet this mama.
What fall fashion trend are you most excited to incorporate into your wardrobe?
Plaid with leopard! I love these two prints and I’m so excited to mix them. Long coats in fun colors and socks with heels!
What is one designer that you would be happy wearing exclusively?
Jonathan Simkhai orZimmerman. I love how feminine and versatile they are and you can always dressthem up or down.
Flats or heels?
Heels when I want to feel powerful and sexy and flats for the day. I can’t walk in heels like I did when I was younger but I still love to wear them.
If you had to ditch everything in your skincare and makeup routine but could keep one step what would it be?
My Biologique recherche p50 lotion. I’m obsessed with the entire brand. There is a 6-month waiting list in Paris to get a facial. This particular product is like Botox in a bottle.
How do you keep your beautiful hair the perfect shade of red?
My wonderful colorist and lots of masks and conditioning. I try to limit how much I wash it. I go in every three weeks for a glaze and color every 6!
Being a mom is challenging. What’s your favorite trick for getting through the hard stuff?
Wine. Jk. I try to remember that nothing is permanent. Lots of self-care and doing things for myself, loving myself and parenting myself so I can show up for them.
What is one thing you wish someone had warned you about before you became a mom?
Lice! Lol. And how muchthey will break your heart open. I feel things so much deeper now.
What is your favorite part about being a momma?
The unconditionalLOVE ️ that we share.Seeing them grow and change year by year and watching their personalities takeshape.
How do you get your kids to go to bed?
I’m so bad at it. Sometimes I lay with them but honestly, it depends on the night. This is not my strong area, lol.
What is your go-to playlist for an afternoon mood boost?
Drake all day.
What was the last thing that made you laugh until you cried?
Ali Wong! I saw her in Chicago last month and I literally almost peed my pants. She is so hilarious and I can’t wait for her new special.
