COTTON CANDY DREAMS
Last weekend was one of the most memorable and beautiful weekend getaways. The hubby and I flew out to Los Angeles for my best friends wedding. It was an incredible weekend filled with love, friends and family. There is nothing more magical then gathering your closest together and celebrating two people finding each other and their love for one another. This truly was just that. A beautiful weekend in the mountains of Westlake Village at the Four Seasons Hotel.
If you follow me on social media and have read my previous blog post, you know my love for Tatyana Merenyuk. Tatyana and I met ages ago at a local Chicago fashion show, when she was just starting out and had a non-fashion day job. One thing led to another and Tatyana now resides in NYC and solely works as a fashion designer for her ever growing namesake bridal and ready-to-wear line.
This cotton candy perfection was a gown Tatyana and I collaborated on and I love that it is one of a kind. I knew I wanted the "Natalie" gown, but I wanted to style it out a bit differently and also I knew I wanted it in this perforated gauze like fabric. If you saw the way this beauty moved....
I also love the idea of adding a metal belt, rather than a traditional sash to this gown, it just feels more current and modern. I kept my hair and make-up fairly simple, because in my opinion when it comes to wearing gowns, less is more.
Wedding season has quickly approached us, and I just love that! As much as I go to events and dress up, I certainly don't wear gowns often and last Saturday, Tatyana definitely made me feel like a "belle of the ball" minus the bride of course cause she was beyond beautiful and glowing of love.
Below find some of my other wedding favorites and stay tuned for more posts from this incredible and beautiful weekend in California! Happy Friday everyone!
