THE ART OF CASUAL CHIC

As much as I hate to say it, you have to be a bit more practical in thewinter. With the snowstorms, the early darkness and the cold, I like tokeep my look casual, but that’s not to say I don’t dress it up a bit!

My Mongolian Lamb Fur Vest is both warm and keeps me feeling cozythroughout a day of meetings, shoots, pulls and playing with my kids. Add a fancier peplum top, (that I once wore to a fashion show with a feather skirt and my pink hair), the look becomes understated glam.
As hard as it seems, you can be both comfortable and chic! With a sleekpony, a pair of dark denim jeans, a carryall tote and durable blackboots, I’m ready to take on the day and wouldn’t panic if I run into someone I know.
The key to making the casual dressy look work is to pick a statementpiece that you build the rest of your outfit around, while keeping inmind the needs of the day. Here in Chicago, it’s always about stayingwarm!
