HOW TO HOST THE PERFECT HOLIDAY PARTY + HOLIDAY DECOR GALORE

Happy Holidays my friends! We are in full swing this holiday season and this year I decorated way early! I love holiday decor, it instantly makes my mood happy and bright!

Since the house has been fully renovated in black and white, I of course turned to my favorite, MacKenzie Childs who has the best black and white decor for indoor and outdoor for the holidays and beyond!

I’ll be linking everything below, if you have any issues, please refresh your browser. My site has been a little tricky and as always you can DM me and I’m happy to send over some links!

This year for the first time ever we also got a flocked (FAUX) tree. We always buy a real tree, but this month we’re traveling a ton and just didn’t make sense to get a real one. I’m obsessed with this flocked tree, this is the exact one I got with LED lights. I LOVE IT so much! It’s pricey but incredible quality and hey, you only spend this money once. Real trees run hundreds of dollars yearly, so this one was totally worth it!

This weekend we also hosted a totally last minute and impromptu Holiday Party for our friends. I figured some pointers are in order since you guys always ask.

If you remember, I’m no stranger to hosting. I love hosting people over whether it’s family, friends, kids, adults, anything goes! I hosted a fun little Babes & Bubbles Brunch several years ago. This one was also super easy and fun! Below are some fun brunch ideas and if you need a full menu just click on the link for more info.

Saturday’s Holiday Party was in the eve and because I was sick prior, I had zero time to plan. So for menu I made a veggie board, charcuterie board, cheese board, caviar station and a shrimp platter. Everything else I ordered. My trick for a great seafood or shrimp platter when you’re in a pinch?! Buy the shrimp, claws, oysters and whatever else you like at Costco and throw it on a bed of ice and on a beautiful tray! EASY PEASY!

I also orded sushi from our favorite restaurant in Glenview Nobori and did some appetizers from PF Changs. I guess the moral of the story is, if you have no time just order! I definitely wanted food that was easy to eat in bites so nothing messy. Sushi is perfect for that and so was the PF Changs catering!

Next order of business is lighting! I think lighting is so very important to set the vibe. That and good music of course. Our crowd of friends LOVE to dance! I didn’t have time to hire a DJ so I had a few of my friends put some amazing play lists together and used K’s boom box for sound. I also bought these lights from AMAZON back when I hosted hubbies Birthday. So They come in handy and can change to any color lighting you want. They also work great to light up the outside of your house and are waterproof!

That’s about it my friends. That’s how you host a fabulous party…. booze, food, good music and amazing vibes! I hope you have an amazing time with your family and friends! Happy Holidays guys!
