BARBIE THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY

Hi friends! First of all it’s been a minute. I haven’t posted on here in months. Life got crazy, we ran off to Florida for the winter… yes I still owe you a post about that. Then we got back and right back into the rhythm of kids activities, school and party planning. To be quite honest I forgot what it meant to schlep all over the place since everything was closed here. Not to mention gardening and house updating! I won’t lie… it’s been intense. However, welcome to the new site and welcome to Thalia’s Barbie Soiree!

T, has always loved Barbie and her favorite color is rainbow! As always, everything was completely last minute and I planned this 5th Birthday Party for her in literally five days. I’ve always planned major 5th Birthday Parties for my kids. I believe that it’s the age when the child can tell you exactly what they want. From decor, to the friends list, to what they want for presents. It’s all about them and I want them to really feel that!

When planning a last minute Birthday Party, your best friend is going to be Amazon and an arsenal of amazing vendors! Below is basically my Amazon order.

Now let’s talk vendors! If you’re in Chicago, this arsenal of talented small businesses is a must!

  • FROW - Anna is literally a genius and can make any vision come to life!

  • ALPHA LIT - This married duo can literally make any party “LIT”! Pick any word, number or color and they will install and take down after your event. Such a cool vibe!

  • THAT PILLOW GUY - Make any image into a pillow! Literally. I decided instead of getting kids those crappy goody bags that everyone throws out. I customized a rainbow pillow that decorated the space and all the kiddos got to take home. Very affordable and the best idea! Kids loved it. Use code HELEN10 to get a discount at checkout.

  • FAIRY CASTLE ENTERTAINMENT - I’ve hired tis company several times before and they literally NEVER disappoint. Check out their site for all the character options and what they can do. They also provide decorating services if you wanted to go that route.

  • SASHA CAKES - `If you watch the Food Network, you’re familiar with this woman’s delicious and extremely colorful pastries and cakes. They’re almost too pretty to eat!

As always… for other party ideas you can check out my DANCE PARTY for K and her staycation at the FOUR SEASONS. Happy Celebrating!!!
