WAITING FOR THE BABE

_MG_4905

As I'm gearing closer to the birth of my third child, my anxiety levels are at an all-time high! It's crazy! You'd think that doing this for the third time would be a breeze, but somehow knowing exactly what a child means and what this transition does to a family, makes it all that much harder to process. The unknown of the delivery, the baby's ultimate health and bringing a newborn home with all the ups and downs and the sleepless nights, all while trying to balance my other babes, career, home life and friendships is a bit of a mind f*ck if you ask me!

So I decided I needed a "ME" moment and some time to unwind and beautify! I know that there won't be much time for sleep, beauty, or really "ME" time the first few months. The whole notion of you sleep when baby sleeps doesn't really apply to mothers of multiple kids with an entrepreneurial type of job. So I'm being realistic all while getting facials, spray tans (I'm obsessed with my girl DEENA who comes to your house), manis, pedis and  lash extensions!

This week was my ultimate beauty week. You know how much I love beauty, products and trying out all types of new services. It's totally up my alley. I'm on a constant mission to try everything and bring the crèm de la crèm to all of you!

I'd love to introduce you to one of my favorite places right now, no seriously I'm obsessed with GLAM'D! It's like the one stop shop for all things fabulous. From nails, to lash extensions, to microblading (which is amazing for brows ladies), to waxing, massages and make-up applications.

I spent a few hours at  GLAM'D being pampered, chatting to the girls (by the way I have to add that all the girls that work there are stunning with brows on fleak), getting a mani and pedi, (you have to add the paraffin treatment it's phenomenal), and I ended up getting lash extensions which are so so amazing!

Ok, let me start by saying, and if you look at the photos below, I don't have very long lashes and they're mostly blonde at the tips. Therefore I usually always do a smokey eye to accentuate my eyes. Fast forward to any day now and having a new babe, I don't see my smokey eye routine in my near future.... therefore, these babies are insane. First of no mascara or make-up necessary...wooo hoo!!! Secondly, they are feathered and look super natural when I wake up. It's literally a WIN - WIN! I can't feel the lashes at all, they totally feel like mine and the application process was easy breezy. I chatted up, relaxed and the girls are such pros that it only took about an hour, when you need a fill it's even quicker. I love them! I love the way they make me feel, all bedroom eyed and bushy tailed!

But wait... I have more. For all my readers if you come in to GLAM'D and mention my name "HELEN BERKUN" you get 20% off a full price service or a free mani pedi!!! No seriously is that not amazefest?!
