RED

I'm not sure if many of you know my history with the color red. It dates back to my memories of my late grandmother wearing anything and everything red, (lipstick, clothing, shoes, etc). Being a little girl I  loved watching her get dressed and put her lipstick on and wondering when will I grow up to look and be just as powerful and beautiful as my grandmother.

My senior year of High School I colored my hair red, not the orangy natural red, but think Manic Panic "Pillarbox Red". From then on everyone called me MISSRED or RED. That's my nickname to this day actually. Most of my friends refer to me not as Helen but as "RED".

In 2000 I started my own company called MISSRED, INC, it actually exists to this day. It's my styling, fashion photography, and consulting business. I also have a  tattoo on the back of my neck, that says MISSRED, INC.

So there your have it, a little walk down memory lane. I realize not everyone loves the color red and not many people like to wear it, however I do. I love it, I wear it and I have a lot of solid history with it.

I hope this is a little inspiration for you to get out of your comfort zone, put on something red and feel powerful just like my grandma did over two decades ago!
