DIY PATIO REFRESH

As many of you know, or if you’ve been following me for a long time. You know that I’m no stranger to a DIY project. Also, my patio literally went through three transitions from summer 2020 to today. Let’s look back at WHERE WE STARTED, TO WHERE IT’S PROGRESSED, TO SOME OTHER REARRANGEMENTS AND UPDATES, and to these updates TODAY! It’s been so fun mixing things up and I can honestly say, I think I finally LOVE where we ended up! Of course, the house is stained and is no longer red brick, I promise a post on that is coming. Because most of my furniture was brown wicker, I couldn’t stand that it didn’t match my whole B&W aesthetic and vibe. So, I did some research. Picked up ten cans of Rust-Oleum and got to work!

BEFORE

DURING

Ok, so this part was very scary, but pretty easy. I thoroughly cleaned and hosed down all my original furniture. Dried it with a towel and under the sun. Then I simply tarpped the grass and began to spray. It was very easy, and the spray went on pretty even. I let it all dry for about two hour and that’s it. It has been over two months and I promise you it looks perfect! One of the best decisions I made. Despite several people telling me not to do it, I just bit the bullet and took my chances. Beats selling this set on marketplace and getting a fraction of the price for it. This way I have it for several more years. If you’re thinking about it, just do it! Side note, it’s rained quite a bit this summer already and the set still looks perfect! Nothing has chipped, peeled or warped.

I also ordered new custom pillows from Frontgate and replaced the glass thanks to ANB Custom Glass.

AFTER

I’d also love to remind you where we started. This was literally my patio SPRING 2020.

Here’s what that same area transitioned into last year.

Of course, here is where we are at today! The transformation is so fun!!! So… who’s going to transform their patio in to their perfect zen oasis?!
