Now that summer is in full swing and my back yard is pretty much finished... let's talk about hosting. I love, love, love having people over. Remember this post? It felt like eons ago, and almost felt like it may not happen. However, I'm so grateful that we are moving into the right direction, at least for the time being and are able to have family and friends over in our back yard.

To me the key of any good party is the people, ambiance and food! I like to give my guests lots of options (meat, poultry, fish and veggies), light a ton of candles, put on Xavier Cugat and have those drinks flowing.

Since we can't travel these days to Europe, and we were supposed to be back on the Amalfi Coast this summer, I decided to update my table scape with LEMONS! Always reminds me of Capri. I linked all my bowls, melamine plates and patio dishes below. Also don't forget to check out this post for Table Scape Ideas and Back Yard Furniture Here.

For the menu I typically grill everything up. I love to get my meat and poultry from Whole Foods. I actually think they have a great grass fed selection and I use my own marinades.

Regarding fish you guys know I'm a Sitka Salmon girl. I've been ordering their fish for several years and it's by far the freshest I've ever tried. By the way use code HelenBerkun at checkout to get $25 OFF your order. Below is a super simple Black Wild Alaskan Cod recipe I came up with. Don't forget I also have a few other salmon, halibut and cod recipes here and here.

LIME ZEST BLACK WILD ALASKAN COD

Drizzle your cod or any white fish with a little avocado oil. Sprinkle on some taco seasoning (more or less depending on spice level). Add a squeeze of a full lime and a full lime zest. Wrap in parchment paper and bake for 15 min at 450 degrees plus a quick broil at the end. You can also grill on a cedar plank. Garnish with cabbage and serve as lettuce wrap tacos or regular tacos. ENJOY!

By the way I love this LoveShackFancy collection from Target! Check it out before it's gone. They have the most beautiful floral pieces, perfect for a Back Yard Soiree!

I hope you guys are all enjoying the outdoors, staying safe and basking in the sun! LOVE YOU MY FRIENDS!
